    The German Auto Day (GAD) Dinner is being held on the 21st September 2019 at the Harmonie German Club commencing at 6.30 PM for a 7.00 PM Dinner.  

    Come along to like minded people with the passion of German machinery.

    Costs are $50.00 per person (Full Buffet Dinner) for Club Members and $60.00 per person (Full Buffet Dinner) for Non- Club Members.

    Prices exclude drinks.

    Final numbers and payment are due 2 weeks prior to the event - Friday 6th of September 2019.

    We have approached Gulsons of Canberra and have been invited to participate in their Wakefield Park track day on the 15th of October 2019.

    The track days are a great opportunity to experience the potential of your car and hone your driving skills. It is also a great opportunity to show your family and friends how awesome your cars is, as passengers are allowed in your vehicle (with the exception of the timed session at lunch time). Any passengers need to sign a waiver and wear appropriate clothing/helmet.

    To avoid any disappointment, we ask you to confirm your place now by completing the forms (trackday@gulson.com.au) and finalising payment. The number of cars is limited to ensure everyone has a great day.

    Entry Fees (Payed prior to the 8th of October)

    Standard $250 inclusive of lunch,

    Additional driver $200 inclusive of lunch,

    Guest $30 please advise prior to the 8th of October,

    Late Entry $280 after the 8th of October or on the day.

    Booking confirmation and payment can be made by bank deposit credit card or PayPal or call in, have a coffee and pay at the dealership. (Please send an email to  markw12958@gmail.com and I will send an email with the links).

    You will need either a current CAMS licence or Wakefield Park licence which is available online at: https://aasa.com.au/licences/day-licence-application/

    Indemnity form needs to be completed on the day or again I can forward the links to complete in advance.

    You must have a helmet and also need ankle to wrist clothing coverage.

    Advance driving instructors are available for some basic tuition and in car instruction.

    The BMW Car Club Canberra will be holding the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday 19th of November 2019.  All Committee positions will be vacated and nominations forms will be made available closer to the event.

    Please consider becoming an active committee member of the Club, or come along and provide your thoughts of what you would like to get out of the club, do or contribute in the direction of the club.

    Finger food and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided from 6.30 PM and the AGM will commence at 7.30 PM sharp.

    A 3-club drive organised by BMW Drivers Club Melbourne, BMW Drivers Club NSW and BMW Car Club Canberra.

    All financial members of these 3 clubs - along with family members and significant others are welcome.  

    The event will be based in beautiful Merimbula on the NSW South Coast where all the clubs will meet on Friday night. We have arranged to meet at the Merimbula RSL  at  6pm for a meet and greet and we will enjoy a 2 course meal, which we can pre-order, the cost is $30 per head.   Please download and return your order form with your registration to events@bmwdcm.com.au.

    On Saturday we’ll head up into the mountains on scenic, sweeping roads.  Then there’s a choice of a brilliant, twisty driving road or a cruise on more sweeping roads, both ending at Marlo on the Snowy River for lunch.  The afternoon includes sweeping roads through the mountains before a final run up the coast back to Merimbula.

    Sunday will take us on enjoyable roads through the Bega Valley, before heading up the mountains to Cooma for lunch.  From there, the clubs will head to their home cities.  For the Melbourne club, this means twisty roads across the mountains to an overnight stop in Corryong, followed by an excellent drive along the Murray River to Albury and back to Melbourne (everyone is welcome to join part or all of this, of course).

    Itinerary Outline

    ACCOMMODATION FOR FRIDAY AND SATURDAY: 

    We will be staying at the Sapphire Valley Caravan Park on both Friday and Saturday night.  Motel Style cabins start from $153 for 2 night (no breakfast included).

    ACCOMMODATION FOR SUNDAY: 

    For those travelling back to Melbourne on the extended drive, we are staying at the Mountain View Motel  Corryong.  Motel rooms start at $90 per night, including a continental breakfast.
