The Ultimate Mystery Drive (17 May 2026)

We’re kicking off our first ever Mystery Drive and you’re invited to join the adventure, the curiosity, and the convoy fun!

We’re heading out on a ~70 km adventure to a top‑secret destination. No hints, no spoilers - you’ll find out only when you arrive. What we can promise: stunning roads, great company, and scenery you’ll be glad you didn’t miss.

Meet us at Two Before Ten Denman for a coffee at 10:30am, then we’ll hit the road at 11am sharp. Lunch awaits at our mystery location, so bring your appetite.

Please register so we can confirm numbers with the venue, and let us know if your plans change and you’re unable to attend.

Reminder to bring your CB radios. Club radios will be available for anyone who needs one.

Cookies Cycles Annual Fish And Chip Run (16 Aug 2026)

Join us together with the Volkswagen Club for Cookies Cycles’ annual Fish N Chip Run to Corrigans Beach, Batemans Bay.

The Fish N Chip Run is a fundraiser supporting Camp Quality, an Australian children’s cancer charity that has been improving the quality of life for kids facing cancer for over 40 years. All funds raised on the day will contribute to the Cookies Cycles Cruisers Team, who are taking part in the 2026 Super Heroes Classic Cruise.

Event details:

8:00am – Meet at the front of Old Parliament House
8:30am – Departure, cruising the Kings Highway to the coast
Coffee stop in Braidwood
Meet up with our South Coast friends at the Nelligen Pub
Continue on to Corrigans Beach for lunch

Corrigans Beach offers something for everyone, including a large playground for kids, toilet facilities, covered eating areas, and shops nearby.

This is a relaxed get‑together for anyone who loves cars, a scenic drive, and a great day out for a good cause. We look forward to seeing you there!

October Driver Training: Skidpan Day (25 Oct 2026)

We are excited to announce our second driver training session for the year: The Skidpan at Sutton Road Driver Training Complex, Sunday 25 October 2026.

We will again be running a split day with 2 sessions. This will help to ensure everyone gets plenty of opportunity on the skid pan without delay. NOTE: There is the option to register for the entire day however, places are limited. Session times are as follows:

Morning: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Afternoon: 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

For those that aren't familiar, the skidpan is a slippery circuit that replicates driving on snow/ice or hitting a patch of oil. It's smooth concrete, water is applied to provide the slide..... Vehicle speeds are less than 50 km/h and as the circuit is so slippery, there is very little wear on tyres and very low risk. The fun factor is extreme as you attempt to control your car with little or no traction!

The Skidpan will help you to better understand your vehicle and car control in general, including what to do when there is understeer or oversteer.

This is a great learning event for everyone. We strongly encourage new drivers to come and learn more about their vehicle and for experienced drivers to refresh their skills and of course, have fun! Skills learnt on the skidpan are invaluable and can save lives.

Some important things to note:

No burnouts or black marks to be left on the skid pan
Suitable clothing and appropriate footwear (no thongs, open-toed shoes, or high heels).
There are noise limits…..Vehicles must not exceed a noise limit of 85db at 30 meters. Any road registered vehicle *should* be less than this.
Participants are solely responsible for any property damages.
There will be more experienced members there to help out. If you would like some assistance please come see us after the briefing.

There will be light refreshments and tea/coffee facilities as well. We recommend bringing lunch with you however, if you need to buy lunch Queanbeyan is only a few minutes drive away....

*Drivers briefings will be at 7:50am sharp and 11:50am sharp. The fun begins at 8:00am and 12:00pm*.

Pricing: $135 ($160 for non-members) per vehicle, with multiple drivers allowed. Places are limited, register early to avoid disappointment!
